Lloy J. Ball may have won a gold medal with the American men’s volleyball team, but his drinking is not up to international competition levels. At o.13% BAC he’s nearly twice the legal limit of .08%, but nowhere near the .23% minimum needed to crack the top twenty of the BadJocks World Famous BAC Rankings. And, also, getting arrested for DUI in rural Indiana is just tacky, don’t you think?
The long parade of middle-age female teachers and coaches having sex with underage boys continues, this time in Leavenworth, Kansas where a language arts/volleyball coach has been carrying on with one of her students since last August.
Not continuously, we hope, but with kids these days you never know.
Here’s more from the Leavenworth Times:
A former Pleasant Ridge High School teacher has been charged with having sexual relations with a student, a prosecution official said. Shannon Young, 36, Lansing, has been charged with three counts of unlawful sexual relations. She was arrested on a warrant Tuesday, according to County Attorney Todd Thompson. Young allegedly had consensual sexual relations with a 17-year-old boy. The crimes are alleged to have occurred between Aug. 1 and June 2.
The boy identified as the victim was of the legal age of consent for Kansas. But teachers are still prohibited by law from having sexual relations with students at their schools. Young started teaching language arts at Pleasant Ridge High School in August. She also coached volleyball. She submitted her resignation in April which was to be effective at the end of the school year, according to Easton Superintendent Charles Coblentz.
