According to the Razorback’s athletic director Jeff Long, it wasn’t so much that football coach Bobby “Evil Kenevil” Petrino had a girlfriend on the side. It was the fact that he lied–apparently repeatedly–about having a girlfriend on the side, did not disclose that 25-year-old Jessica Dorrell was his mistress when she beat out 159 other applicants for a job on his staff; or that he had given her $20,000 for some reason. Long claims Petrino had plenty of opportunities to come clean about the relationship over the past ten days and failed to do so, so he was fired “with cause” meaning the former Atlanta Falcons coach will NOT get the $18 million buyout his contract called for.
You can be sure that Petrino will eventually coach somewhere else, but Dorrell will forever have to explain why she only worked for 4 days as the student-athlete development coordinator at Arkansas.

For those of your who missed it last week, Arkansas head football coach Bobby Petrino got into a little bit of an accident on his motorcycle. At first, we read this story and thought “Dumbass!” and left it at that. Then came word that he had a young woman on the motorcycle with him at the time, but had kind of fudged that fact when he first reported the incident.
Then came word over the weekend that Petrino admitted to having an “inappropriate relationship” with Jessica Dorrell, 25, a tall blonde former volleyball player for the Razorbacks. And if that weren’t bad enough, Dorrell had just been hired by Petrino for the all important “student athlete development coordinator for football” position. At that point, things jumped from Dumbass! to Triple Dumbass! and the university had no choice but to suspend the coach who took Arkansas to an 11-2 season last year and a Cotton Bowl win.
Now the question is: do they fire this guy or give him some other kind of punishment (other than having his face all scraped up, a broken vertebrae and knowing he has to go home to his wife and four kids every night after what happened.
Two interesting asides to this story: Dorrell is engaged to is Arkansas Director of Swimming and Diving Operations, Josh Morgan. And second, there is no truth to the rumors that Petrino escaped from the accident unscathed and got the bruises on his face and the neck brace you have seen him in in photos once he got home.

Petrino’s son, Dominic, a one-time college quarterback, was arrested in Indiana on drug and DUI charges after being stopped by police. A statement from his father, Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino, reads in part: “Nick is our son, he is not a member of the Arkansas football team. As such, this is not a University of Arkansas issue. Instead, it is a family matter and a legal matter. My family will trust and respect the legal system and will not comment outside that process.”
It all started with an awkward turn for #Arkansas offensive lineman Anthony “Double DUI” Oden, who then crossed a center line, then failed to respond to a police office who tried to pull him over. Oden only blew a .09% BAC (just over the legal limit) but he was also accused of not having proof of ownership, driving on a suspended/revoked driver’s license and not having a driver’s license. He also had some kind of controlled substance called K2. Sounds like it was great night to be a Razorback!
