Professional Golfer Jeff Overton Arrested for . . . Yelling at People From Limo?

Mug shot of golfer Jeff OvertonOkay, so maybe there was a little bit more to the story that just yelling at people from a limousine, but that’s were most of the trouble started for PGA golfer Jeff “Hey You!” Overton.

Overton was apparently in Bloomington, Indiana where he had played his college ball for the University of Indiana. The allegedly intoxicated golfer was spotted yelling at people from inside a limo that was blocking traffic by police and told to move.  The limo moved, but later pulled up next to a local cop and Overton started yelling AGAIN at strangers on the street. At this point, police told him to stop and also asked for identification, which Overton refused to produce.

Well, the police had had enough at this point and pulled Overton from the limo and attempted to arrest him, which he allegedly did not care for and resisted. He now faces charges of of resisting law enforcement, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Golf Fan Tasered for Heckling at The Players Championship

Earlier this week we had a fan at a Phillies game tasered by cops as he ran onto the field. On Friday we had a member of the Gallery at The Players Championship who may have had a little too much to drink, got rowdy and then refused to comply with marshals and cops who wanted him to settle down. You know what that means? it’s a Taserin’!

This seems to be an interesting new trend in sports and one that might finally have an impact on unruly fans the world over. Then again, we’ve seen some soccer fans who a taser would only serve to wake them up enough to continue on their rampage.

Travis Parmelee, 36, was shocked with a Taser and arrested after becoming belligerent with hole marshals and St. Johns County sheriff’s deputies. He was charged with disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest without violence.  The PGA Tour released a statement reiterating its position of not tolerating any unruly behavior at any tournament: “The Tour’s position is and has always been that anything that disrupts the competition or the enjoyment of our fans will be dealt with accordingly, as was the case today.”  Capt. Dave Messenger of the Sheriff’s Office said marshals on hole No. 11 called police around 5 p.m. to deal with a man who was being uncooperative and argumentative. Messenger said the suspect would not calm down and became even more belligerent when talking with police officers. When police tried to arrest the suspect, he resisted and officers were forced to Tase him to subdue him, Messenger said.

Have we really come to this? Watching the mistress of a sports icon go on dates because she can’t find love after Tiger dumped her? (I just spit-up a little in my mouth reading that on TMZ. That happens a lot, I should probably stop eating.)

Would you really watch something like that, or are you just hoping she’d go straight to releasing a sex tape?

There’s a story out there that Tiger Woods’ Mistress #1 — Rachel Uchitel — is hitting a Vegas dance studio so she can be on the next installment of “Dancing with the Stars” … but TMZ has learned Rachel has become far more entrepreneurial and is pitching her very own reality show.

Sources tell TMZ Rachel, along with two producers and an agent, have gone to 4 different cable networks, pitching a show called “Romancing Rachel.” We’re told the premise is that Rachel has a hard time meeting guys, given what’s been going on with her. The pitch — watch Rachel try to find true love … with single guys.

We’re told Rachel was in L.A. earlier this month and pitched the show — along with her producing entourage — to E!, VH1, Oxygen and Lifetime. We’re told Lifetime and E! have passed, but VH1 and Oxygen are still in play.
