We like sports theatrics as much as the next guy, and there is something funny about this incident involving a minor league baseball coach getting into a dispute with the homeplate umpire, then ripping up first base, signing it and handing it to a fan. Then again, does it seems a little too well planned out? We’ll give State College Spikes’ manager Gary Robinson the benefit of the doubt this time, but if he continues to sign things and hand them to fans we’ll have to call him out on it . . . and hope he doesn’t throw a fit at us.
