Incident at Golf Course Ends in Broken Driver, Arrest of Two

Dumbass Category LogoOnce again, the evils of “slow play” have caused two sets of golfers to go after each other like gang members and results in a couple of arrests. It’s not clear why the dispute between duffers escalated to the point of violence, but before it was over an expensive driver was not only used to beat one man, but also broke in half. The horrors! Won’t someone think of the equipment! This most recent incident happened in Provo, Utah.

According to Provo police, it happened at the tee box on hole No. 10 where a group thought they had permission from the course marshal to go ahead. In the end, two of those golfers ended up under arrest. Police say the two golfing parties started exchanging words, which escalated to a golf driver being used as a weapon.

All of the sudden, police dispatchers got a flood of 911 calls — including one from each of the two men now under arrest — asking for help. Not only did the 41-year-old victim suffer what police said was a hematoma on his back, he sustained a puncture wound and abrasions to his thigh after the driver broke in half and was used as a blunt instrument. The victim also reported he was punched several times.

John Black, 53, and Brice Williams, 59, were booked on charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.

Landowner Fires Two Warnings Shots at Golfers Who Came on Property

Be careful if you play golf in southern Alberta, Canada: a ball hit out of bounds could mean a couple of shotgun blasts fired over your head! That is, if you’re stupid enough to ignore the obvious “Do Not Enter,”  “No Trespassing,” and “We’ll Shoot Your Ass if You Come Over Here, You Stupid Golfer!” signs.

Two golfers looking for their ball at a southern Alberta course instead found themselves face-to-face Thursday afternoon with a gun-toting man.  The male golfers in their 30s or 40s were near the seventh tee at the golf course in Picture Butte, southeast of Calgary, when the ball went into an adjoining field.  One golfer went to look for the ball and was confronted by the owner of the property.

“I guess it’s been an ongoing issue between the golf course and the people using the golf course and the landowners with respect to people going onto their land without permission,” said Cpl. Bryan Mucha.  The landowner had a shotgun and fired two or possibly three shots as a warning to stay off his land, Mucha said. “They were not fired directly at the two golfers, they were up into the air, so nobody was hurt.”

The golfers left and called police, who arrested the landowner without incident. Mucha said the golfers went over a fence that had several signs on it that say “Do Not Enter” and “No Trespassing.”

Tiger Woods didn’t just seduce porn stars and party girls – he had a one night stand with a neighbor, a tabloid reported Tuesday. Woods had his way with 22-year-old Raychel Coudriet on a couch in his office, near a crib for one of his kids, the National Enquirer reports. And he didn’t wear a condom.  “I felt used and violated, like I meant nothing to him but a night of casual sex,” Coudriet said, a source told the tab. “I just wanted to dig a big hole, crawl in and die.”

The revolting revelation came a day before Woods is supposed to end his five month exile from professional golf and tee up at the Masters tournament in Augusta.  Woods has admitted cheating on wife Elin Nordegren with a bevy of babes, but Coudriet differs from the pack because she lives near the golfer’s gated mansion outside Orlando – and because Tiger has known her since she was 14.
