“Bored” Men Dress Up in Costume and . . . Disrupt Girls HS Soccer Game?

Adult men have so many options available to them when bored, including but not limited to, drinking alcohol or going to a strip club.   So it is a bit baffling as to why 6 grown men, aided by 2 women, decided to dress up in costumes (Power Rangers – really? Is this 1995?) and raid the field of a high school girl’s soccer game in attempt to cure their boredom.

They surrounded the poor goalie in a scene described by the coach as “the craziest thing I’ve seen in a sport event”, one proposed marriage and then were chased off the field.  All were later caught in the woods but oddly, no report of alcohol or drugs have been blamed in their lack of judgment.

Six men wearing costumes — four Power Rangers, a ninja and a Spider-Man — have been arrested and charged with disrupting or interfering with a girls’ high school soccer game in Cleveland, Ga., authorities said.
Players and coaches said they didn’t know what was going on, and were fearful as the men dashed onto the field and surrounded a goalie during Tuesday’s Gainesville vs. White County game.   The men told sheriff’s officials they ran onto the field as a prank and that they were bored, a sheriff’s report stated

Dumbass Category LogoIs it really streaking if you’re wearing a Speedo? Probably not, but they can still charge you with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass, especially if you disrupt the game by standing in the middle of the field in that slingshot of a bathing suit, pantyhose over your face and a white cowboy hat, and do a little dance. Heck, in New York City you can make a living doing that as the Naked Cowboy. But in Ohio, they don’t understand that an artist needs to express himself in some non-traditional ways.

Here’s the details from WLWT:

Police said they were called to Monroe High School on Sept. 14 for reports of a possibly nude person running across the field during a Monroe varsity girl’s soccer match. Witnesses said a man ran onto the field wearing pantyhose over his face, a white cowboy hat and a Speedo. They said the man stopped at the 50 yard line and began dancing before running off into a wooded area. Police said their investigation led them to Daughhetee. Officers said Daughhetee admitted to causing the interruption as part of a prank.
