Double standard? In today’s American judicial system? Nah.

A former gym teacher at the Light and Life Christian School in Liberty Tuesday pled guilty in Sullivan County Court to sending text messages and a photograph of his genitals to a 13-year-old girl he knew at the school.  Joshua Dimeo, 21, of Liberty pled guilty to disseminating indecent materials to minors, a felony, and sexual abuse in the second degree, a misdemeanor.  He also admitted to touching another 13-year-old girl.

Sullivan County District Attorney James Farrell said under the plea agreement, Dimeo is expected to receive a prison sentence of three years, 10 years parole and be ordered to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law.

According to this Sporting News article, the younger Jordan is already trying to downplay the incident, but our friends over at DeadSpin.com are already posting pictures of that night, and our guess is there are more out there just waiting to pop out.

Marcus Jordan, the 19-year-old son of NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan, is having some recent partying in Las Vegas investigated by Nevada gambling regulators, according to the Associated Press. Officials were examining whether the casino operator violated laws prohibiting drinking or gambling by minors, Nevada Gaming Control Board enforcement chief Jerry Markling said.

People under 21 often try to gamble or drink in Las Vegas, but punishment for casino operators depend on the circumstances, Markling said. The investigation stems from a series of posts on Twitter by Marcus Jordan.

“Last night was stupid … 35k at Haze… Totals 50k something the whole day.. Damn!! Going to the pool again today.. Gotta relax!” Marcus Jordan later tried to downplay the posts on Twitter when speaking with Fox Sports.

But enough about us and how the Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore is so geeked about multiple hurricanes in the Atlantic that he nearly burst that vein in his forehead on the air last night. No, let’s focus on poor little Mikey Wise who writes (or used to write for) something called the Washington Post . . . which I think is a blog hosted on Post Cereals Intranet. Anyway, Mikey wanted to do a test and see how stupid other media types would be if he posted a fake story on his Twitter account saying that Big Ben was suspended for five games this season.

Well, the little experiment when better than expected. Not only did other pick up the story (we didn’t thank God) but he also found out that his bosses at The Post have no sense of humor or scientific curiosity whatsoever. They sited some kind of journalistic integrity (??!) that says this kind of thing ain’t right. (Sounds like someone needs to get on the Interwebs more often.) In the end, the suspended him for a whole month, which will probably into his report on how this whole experiment turned out. Our guess is that HBO will be turning it into a mini-series any day now. Wonder who will play Jim Cantore?

The Washington Post has suspended veteran sports columnist Mike Wise for publishing fabricated information on Twitter. He announced the one-month suspension on his radio show Tuesday.

Wise claimed Monday that he wanted to prove a point about how reporters will run stories in today’s fast-moving news environment without  independently verifying the information. So Wise tweeted that Pittsburgh Steelers star Ben Roethlisberger, who has been accused of sexually assaulting a Georgia college student, would get a five-game suspension. Of course, since Wise is a respected sportswriter, other news outlets went with the apparent scoop and cited his reporting.

But a Bengals cheerleader by the name of Sarah Jones did sue the guys over at thedirty.com and reportedly won an $11 million judgment against them after they falsely claimed that she had a venereal disease after reportedly having sex with several Cincinnati players. Although it did only list her first name and last initial, the site did post a picture with the story. The strange part? The lawsuit might have been withdrawn if the publisher had responded to any of Ms. Jones lawyers request to remove the posting. Heck, the folks at thedirty.com didn’t even respond to the lawsuit itself and lost by default. Come on guys, you’re bloggers, at least come up with SOME lame excuse!

The operator of the Arizona-based website, Hooman Karamian, who uses the online name “Nik Ritchie,” couldn’t be reached for comment. He was also named as a defendant in the suit.  The Web site lists the disclaimer, “Postings may contain erroneous or inaccurate information. All images are credited to their original location. The owner of this site does not ensure the accuracy of any content presented on TheDirty.com.”

Jones’ attorney, Eric Deters, said his client sued only after the site refused repeated requests to take down the posts. The posts remained on the site Thursday afternoon.  “This California company was brazen,” Deters said. “They didn’t defend it. They didn’t come. They ignored it, what is part of the punitive damage award.”

He said he “absolutely has some hope” he will be able to collect on the judgment. One of the first steps will be to get the judgment certified in a federal court in Arizona, Deters said.  Deters said he was optimistic because the site is operated by a limited liability cooperation that “apparently is doing pretty well.” He said he will also attempt to expose the investors in the LLC during the collection process.

This is not Kiel’s first brush with the law: back in 2009 he allegedly shoved a security guard at a sporting event. No word on how that case has progressed.

A former star quarterback at Notre Dame and former Colts quarterback has been arrested for the second time in less than a year. Noblesville police say the 48-year-old Kiel was stopped by officers around 7:30 Saturday evening after officers reported seeing his car crossing the center line in suburban Indianapolis. Police say a breath test showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.17 percent, more than twice the legal limit for driving.

Not only is this girls HS basketball coach accused of groping a female student while she did sit-ups he also allegedly exposed himself to another young woman on the bus and then asked for her phone number. (Does this move ever work for anyone?) Finally, the strangest of all: he’s accused of asking a several members of the girls track team to try on track uniforms without their bra or underwear. You know, for aerodynamics sake, we assume.

In all, strange, very strange.

Stacey Brewer, the Coyle High School girls’ basketball coach, social studies teacher and bus driver, is charged with 13 counts including indecent exposure and lewd acts to a child under 16. A probable cause affidavit stated allegations dating back to March 2009. Several witnesses have alleged in one incident, Brewer asked them to try on a track uniform without their bra and underwear.

The affidavit also stated in February 2010, Brewer allegedly exposed his penis to a student in the Coyle Public Schools girl’s weight room more than one time and on two occasions, touched her breast while she was doing sit-up exercises.  Brewer was initially charged Feb. 5 after a girl said he exposed himself to her on a school bus and tried to give her his telephone number.

Drunk golfers threatening staff at the course? Probably not as common, but still not enough to report here.

Drunk, threatening staff with a tee marker? Now you’re talking! For those not familiar with what a golf tee marker is, think of it as a giant push pin. When inserted into the tee area, two of them mark the space where you can hit your first shot. Usually you don’t see the giant spike end to the markers that are pushed into the ground. (At right, an example of a tee marker from the folks at Putting-Greens.com.) But trust us, you don’t want someone coming at your with one.  According to cops, that’s exactly what happened at the Stonepine Estate and Resort in Carmel City, CA this past week. It also makes us laugh that this guy is described as a “local wine maker.”

Stephan Kidder, 36, was taken into custody after deputies found him so intoxicated at the resort that he could not care for himself, sheriff’s officials said.  Deputies also said Kidder trespassed on business property and interfered with business operations before brandishing a spiked T-box marker at a staff member when he was asked to leave.  When deputies got the scene, Kidder ran into the Carmel River. Deputies were able to talk him out of the river and placed him into custody.

Not sure of all the details here, but one of the bodybuilders is awarded his check or prize in an envelope by a pretty girl, he opens it, looks at the prize (tickets to a Mets game maybe?) tears it up then promptly goes to the edge of the stage and starts calling out one of the judges.

Of course, the judge (being a manly man) taunts him back (probably saying something like “Well, why don’t you just come down here and show me how big your pecs are?) which causes the bodybuilder to jump down from the stage and tackle the judge in a very oily fashion. Before you know it, folding chairs are being thrown around and you just know that Vince McMahon is watching on TV writing this all down.
