BadJocks Update: During Trial "Lesbian Tennis Coach" Admits Wearing 13-Year-Old Girl's Underwear . . . Twice! - Claire Lyte, 29, is a British tennis coach on trial accused of having a lesbian affair with a 13-year-old player. (Read earlier story here.) During her testimony yesterday, she admitted to twice to putting on the teen's pink panties by mistake, even though they contained a tag with the victim's name on it. (I'm assuming this happened when the two were on the road participating in tournaments, and not just something that happened during daily lessons.) Lyte also denied having a sexual relationship with the girl, despite the fact that the victim's mother claims she caught the two in bed, and the blond coach has repeatedly claimed that she "likes men" . . . and, apparently, also pink underwear that has previously been worn by someone else. (This is London) New BadJocks Record? Couple Pleads Guilty to Embezzling More Than $200,000 From Youth Soccer Club, Used Money to Pay Own Kid's College Tuition, & Take Vacations - You'll be happy to know that the big sticking point in the embezzlement case against Upper Southampton couple John and Barbara Fox is the amount of money they actually stole over the past 8 years from the Southampton Soccer Association. The prosecutor says it was $237,424, while the sly Foxes say the correct amount is "only" $220,392. Oh well, pardon me! Either way, that's a lot of money for some soccer balls and gym shorts, making us wonder why it took so long for anyone to spot the problem. Where did all the money go? Investigators say the couple used the money to pay personal bills, their children's college expenses and for a couple of vacations. Their scam fell apart when club members asked the Foxes for $6,000 to pay for field renovations and team equipment and discovered that the club bank account was empty. An audit was performed that revealed that the Foxes had written checks to themselves for years from the organization's account. They have repaid the money after mortgaging their home, but a judge might just put them behind bars for a while to make a point. (Philly Burbs) HS Football Player Expelled, Three Coaches Fired Over "Sexually Oriented Hazing" - Details are still sketchy on this one, but it must have been bad for this much carnage to happen this quickly. According to a source close to the situation, several varsity football players gained access to a locked team room and while there, at least one of them committed what is being described as a "sexually oriented assault" (Tea bagging? The Shocker? The dreaded rear admiral?) on two junior varsity football players. And this not have been your usual "sexually oriented" hazings because one of the alleged victims was injured during the incident and unable to practice later that day. After an investigation, the school booted one player, suspended three others and then fired three coaches who, while they didn't participate in the incident, apparently gave the older players the perception that they condoned the behavior. Cheerleading Coach on Trial for Hosting Illegal Gambling Event That She Used Proceeds From to Pay Back Parent Who Posted Her Bail - Okay, let's see if we can make sense of this one: Anna Lois Miles, 34, is a cheerleading coach at the Hagerstown Heat All-Stars cheerleading club (Maryland.) Back in 2005, Miles was convicted of writing $24,000 worth of bad checks on the Heat's account in 2003 and 2004, essentially ripping off the parents of her students. As part of her probation, Miles was supposed to pay restitution to the families. She didn't and was promptly thrown back in jail. One of the parents who was ripped off then--for some unknown reason-- loaned Miles $2000 to bail her out of jail. How did Coach Miles decide pay back that loan? By hosting an illegal bingo and tip jar party, where the proceeds were supposed to go to the Heat, but instead some of it went to pay off Miles debts. Ms. Miles is on trial this week after pleading innocent to the charges, which carry maximum penalties totaling five years in prison and $4,000 in fines. One bonus: a conviction in this case also could subject her to additional prison time for violating her earlier probation. (Herald Mail) More Cheerleader Trouble for McKinney, Texas School District - Last year we reported on the story of the out-of-control cheerleaders at McKinney North High School in Texas who allegedly regularly got into trouble, only to have one of the squad member's moms--who just happened to be the principal--pull their bacon out of the fire. Now comes word that the cheerleaders and football players at one of the other McKinney high schools harassed another female student so much that she's suing the school. Stephanie Schwehn, 17, and her mother filed the lawsuit this week claiming that school officials stood by for two years while an estimated 30 classmates regularly called her names, including "slut" and "whore" and that the other students made up stories about Stephanie's sexual experience. (Dallas News) Reggie Bush Got Nearly $300K From Agents While at USC? This story comes to us from Yahoo Sports: Two sources have told Yahoo! Sports that Lloyd Lake, one of the financiers of failed marketing company New Era Sports & Entertainment, has agreed to meet with NCAA investigators and turn over financial records and other evidence that would tie Bush and his family to nearly $280,000 in extra benefits allegedly taken during Bush's days at USC. Lake – one of two New Era financiers who allegedly delivered cash payments and other benefits to Bush and his family – is preparing to file suit against Bush and his family later this month. Middle School Football Coach Fired for Making Team Exit Bus on Highway - The dismissed coach claims that his players were being disruptive and blocking the view of the bus driver so he had the vehicle pulled over after a recent game and had everyone get out and do calisthenics in a field to quiet them down. Yeah, he's been fired. (WILX) HS Teacher's "Sexy" Cheerleading Video Puts School District in
Uproar - Is it Pamela Rogers fault that Phoenix teacher Christina Mallon got
suspended? Mallon performed an apparently innocent cheer dance for you class at
Williams Field High School that was recorded by a student using his cell phone
and posted on YouTube. Before you knew it, Mallon was put on put on paid
administrative leave and the whole issue is likely getting a little overblown .
. . most likely because of the sexy
dance video performed by former Tennessee middle school gym teacher Pamela
Rogers. But that was a semi-striptease intended for her underage boyfriend.
Mallon's biggest crime from what we can see? Apparently deciding to do a dance
routine to Toni Basil's "Hey Mickey!" Watch for yourself below. (Turn

Busted! Homecoming Queen Stripped of Title After Getting Caught Drinking at Big Dance - Ah, the Drunken Homecoming Queen! Is there any more pathetic character in all of American HS lore? On top of the world, this young miss has just been voted by her friends as the girl everyone wants to be and the guys all want to sleep with. What an honor! So, what better way to celebrate your coronation than to knock back a few Jager bombs between the Homecoming game and dance? Well, at least that's what is being reported at Oak Creek High School (Wisconsin) where not only did their 2007 Homecoming Queen blow a .04% BAC at the dance, but she was also stripped of her title. According to school officials, a second homecoming election will be held this week and photos of the new homecoming court may be shot for the school yearbook. Said one dismayed student, “The homecoming queen shouldn’t have gotten drunk. It’s just bad for the school in general.” (Today's TMJ) #12! Teen Tasered at Homecoming Parade - Now here's something you don't see in every small town homecoming parade: a float featuring a demonstration of how cops will taser your teenaged ass if you resist arrest. Oh, wait a minute, that's not a parade entry at all, that's just some of the fun in the street in Downers Grove, IL when cops watching the Downers Grove South High School homecoming parade spotted an 18-year-old throwing a "suspicious bandana" (you read that right) into the trash. They retrieved it, found that it contained pot and then tried to apprehend the lad. He resisted, they tasered and the parade continued. Next Year: Mace. (Chicago Suburban News) HS Football Player Kicked Out of School for Showing Friends Topless Picture of Underage Classmate - And this, at an all boys school! No seriously, we overlooked this story last week because we didn't know at first that Pierre Steel, 15, was a football player at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois. According to school officials, back on September 8, Steel was at the home of another student with a female classmate who used to be his girlfriend. Steel's family says the girl, 16, took off her shirt willingly, posed and Pierre snapped a picture on his camera phone. (Her family claims she's the victim in all this and that the picture was taken without her permission.) The next day the boy reportedly showed the picture to a few football players on the school's football field and by Monday he was being told to clean out his locker and was being expelled from the private school. Cheerleading Coach Accused of Assaulting Cop During School Riot - Now this is NOT the typical cheerleading coach arrest: Cops in Youngstown, Ohio were called to Chaney High School about 3 pm last Thursday to break up a fight involving 200 to 300 students. To try and disperse the crowd, officers started using chemical Mace on about 50 Chaney students. At that point a woman, identified by students as a freshman cheerleading coach, became upset that students were being Maced and decided to get involved. She allegedly knocked over a police office during the melee and was eventually charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and inducing panic. (Vindy) HS Football Player Arrested for Booze & "Date Rape" Drug Hazing - Fall Hazing Season is in full swing as we bring you yet another report of a HS football hazing arrest, this time from Texas. According to police, Juan Enrique Medrano, 17, turned himself in to local authorities after learning from the media that the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission had gone to McAllen High School to arrest him. TABC first became interested in Medrano after reports surfaced early last month that students passed out and got sick after an alcohol-fueled hazing incident. School district officials got an anonymous tip that as many as 50 to 60 teenagers participated in a football team initiation that involved mixed drinks spiked with Roche pills, more commonly known as the "date rape drug." No one is saying why the drug was used but no hazing charges have been filed . . . yet, but Medrano has been kicked off the football team because of previous warnings from the coach about attending parties where alcohol was served. (The Monitor) Another Cheerleading Coach Arrested - Isn't this like the third for fourth one of these this fall? Carl Jerome Phillips, 22, a San Bernardino, California cheer coach was arrested last week on charges of sexual misconduct following a two month investigation. Cops have been investigating allegations of misconduct involving a 15-year-old girl whom Phillips was coaching and he now faces three charges of sexual contact with a minor. (Press Telegram)Surprise! Sprinter Marion Jones Admits to Steroid Use! - In a move that surprised virtually no one who's seen her creepy man-like physique, track star Marion Jones, who won 5 medals in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, has admitted in a letter to family and friends that she used steroids before the Games, according to The Washington Post. This, of course, comes after years of vehement denials that she took anything, but now admits to taking "the Clear" from the guys at BALCO Labs. And now she's admitting to it and will apparently do some jail time. Does this sound like anyone else we know? (Sports Illustrated) Fall Sports Hazing Spectacular Continues! HS Football Players Arrested at School on Rape Charges, Led Away in Handcuffs - Usually the cops can wait until the bell rings at 3 o'clock to arrest high school students, but apparently not in Ohio, where two starters on the football team at Tallmadge High School, were slapped with rape-related charges for a locker room hazing incident after practice this summer. According to police, Robert Underwood Jr., 16, was charged with a first-degree felony delinquency by rape and one count of hazing, while Sean E. Kline, 17, was charged with a first-degree felony delinquency complicity to rape and one count of hazing. (Our experience in these cases is that the so-called "rape" is actually a finger put where it doesn't belong in another person's body. But legally, it's still a form of penetration and that's rape.) Officers showed up at school on Wednesday and reportedly led the pair out in front of everyone handcuffed. (Plain Dealer) MLB News: Umpire Who Irked Milton Bradley Suspended for Rest of Season Football Coach Accused of Illegally Recruiting Players From Samoa . . . a High School Football Coach! - You think illegal recruiting is limited to college sports? Not any more. Authorities are looking into allegations that a coach at Franklin High School near Fresno, California persuaded Samoan parents to send their boys to Lodi, a farming town 35 miles south of Sacramento and housing them at his home, with his brother or with other coaches. (USA Today) BadJocks Flashback: Anybody Else Remember Willie Williams? - The former top recruit for the Miami Hurricanes is in trouble with the law again! Just to refresh your memory, Williams was arrested 11 times before he signed his letter of intent with the Canes (believed to be a record for both BadJocks and Miami), only to fail to make grades and end up playing ball for a community college . . . while on probation. Eventually the coaches at Louisville gave him a break and even let him start three games this season. Mistake! Cops spotted Williams car early Wednesday evening, and tried to pull him over. But Willie just kept driving and when he finally stopped several blocks later, they found out why: the officer found him chewing on what was left of his pot--which they made him spit out--according to the police report. They also found weed in his glove box which led to his dismissal from the Cardinals football team. Williams faces charges of possession of marijuana, felony tampering with physical evidence and driving without a license. (USA Today) |
