Grand Jury Indicts HS Coach for Having Sex With Two Former Players - Now is that fair? Pokey gets a big chunk of money and this guy could go to jail? Andre Williams, 34, who was the girls basketball coach and assistant track coach at Peoria High School coach allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with two of his 15-year-old players. (WQAD) Thanks to Bryan for the link! College Football Players Egg Homes, Flee Cops, End Up Breaking Into . . . Mayor's Home? - From our "What Were You Thinking?" Dept.: Two Montana State University football players are in trouble with the law for egging some homes in Bozeman. Actually, they were allegedly egging homes in a neighborhood when the cops showed up and Clay Bignell and Daniel Ogden decided to hide. The broke into the basement window of nearby home, which just happens to belong to Mayor Jeff Krauss, where they were apprehended. According to MSU, both young men are on probation for one year and will not be allowed to play football during that time. (New West) LSU Paying Coaches $160,000 to Have Sex With Players? - It's the story that shook up the women's NCAA basketball tournament this spring: LSU's successful coach, Pokey Chatman, suddenly resigned. Then came word that the school suspected her of having "improper conduct with a former player or players" after one of her assistant coaches raised allegations. Of course, the lawyers got involved at that point and now, according to Chatman's attorney, the school has settled up to the tune of 160K. Your tax dollars at work! (Fox Sports) Cherry Hill Valley Golf Course Strippers Update - Attorney for club owner says event was benefit for Disabled American Veterans (Well, that makes it okay then) and that 80 people went at the outing paying $150 each, which included golf, lunch at the golf course and--I'm not making this up!--a "nice spread" afterward at the strip club. See earlier story below, complete with pics and video. "How Come You Don't Post Hazing Pics Anymore?" - Good question. BadJocks Publisher Bob Reno attempts to answer that question, and in his response actually posts some of the nastiest initiation pictures he's ever come across. Think you've seen it all? How about drunken freshman forced to eat a roasted chicken with Vagisil smeared on it? See it for yourself on the new BadJocks Blog. Little League Father Arrested for Threatening to Kill Kid's Coach Over Lack of Playing Time - It's become the hottest new trend among youth sports parents: not just getting overly involved in their kid's game's, but actually demanding more playing time for junior. This time it happened in the Parkway Little League in St. Paul, Minnesota. There a father, Wade Campbell, allegedly yelled at his son for striking out, then eventually got into a scuffle with a coach and league officials when he was asked to leave. Later, Mr. Campbell is accused of threatening to shoot coach Noe Ambriz Jr and his family . . . all because a 12-year-old wasn't getting enough playing time. As usual, the parent involved, Mr. Campbell, claims it was all a misunderstanding (he's been ordered to take anger management classes in the past) and that he just thought his son should be on the field more because the other kids "aren't as good as my kid." (Twin Cities) Crazy Sports Video of the Day: Guys Hunting
Jumping Carp With Bow - You've seen video of those Asian carp that are infesting
American lakes and jump out of the water as boats pass by? Leave it to US
sportsmen to figure out a way to make getting rid of them fun and exciting. Why
not shoot them from the back of a moving boat with a bow and arrow? No, really,
that's what these guys are doing and it's wild to watch. Looks like they
attached casting rods to their bows to reel the fish in once they hit them. Do you need a hunting
or fishing license to do this?
"Embarrassed" Chicago Bears Cut Tank Johnson After Latest Arrest - What is it lately about NFL players and asking them to stay out of trouble while they're already out on suspension? Is that too much to ask? Apparently so. First, Pacman Jones is being questioned about another strip club shooting, now the Chicago Bears have no choice but to waive former star defensive lineman Tank Johnson just three days after he was pulled over by cops in Arizona for DUI. This happened while he was on probation for a gun charge and already suspended by the league for the first eight games of the 2007 season. (The Olympian) |
