You know how soccer players sometimes do those annoying, staged soccer goal celebrations? Well, this is NOT one of those times, but video of the goal celebration in Iran by Mohammed Nosrati of Tehran against their rivals, Damash Gilan, has gained a lot of attention anyway.
Why? Well, Mr. Nosrati appears to use the celebration to grab the buttocks of one of his teammates. Is it intentional or accidental? Watch the video and decide for yourself, but the conservative Iranian government thinks his actions (and teammate Sheis Rezaei who allegedly did something similar earlier in the game) are “immoral” and not only suspended the pair, but they could face public lashings on the soccer pitch where the questionable behavior occurred. At least one prominent cleric, Jalal Yahyazadeh, called what he saw a ‘shameless act’ and added that it had ‘upset, angered and outraged’ all sports fans. ‘What happened is absolutely not acceptable because it was a very ugly thing,” he said.
Now, lest you think this is a one time, isolated incident, we have a second video showing a dog pile goal celebration where the hands and legs get awfully intertwined for male-sports comradery standards.
Yeah, these guys are gonna get a whippin’. (Source: Sports Buzz)
