Say what? Why would the University of Tulsa suspend senior Damaris Johnson, the little-known, but dangerous, wide receiver who just happens to be the NCAA all-purpose yardage record holder? And on the eve of their biggest game against top ranked Oklahoma? Because his girlfriend got arrested? Why would that have anything to do . . . oh, it appears that Damaris was given the the “employee discount” at Macy’s because his girlfriend, Chamon Jones, works there.

Well, that doesn’t seem like such a big deal . . . until you learn that he paid $12.91 for merchandise worth $1583.18 on August 20th, and 34-cents for $1238.59 worth of stuff five days later. That seems like a little more than 10% off the retail price to us, but then again we were never very good at math.

The icing on the cake is that Johnson actually used Jones debit card to make the $13.25 “deal.”
