Hurricane’s Buchanan Spits at Police, Then Yells: “I’m a U.M. Player, and I’ll Get Out of it!”

The oldRamon Buchanan - Miami Hurricanes linebacker “Do you know who I am” card is out of style now. They don’t even bother to ask anymore. Miami Linebacker Ramon Buchanan has kicked it up a notch.

According to Miami police, about 1:30 a.m. Friday, Buchanan did something stupid in a restaurant bathroom to cause a scene and was told to leave. He did not, and police were called. When they arrived, they went to place him under arrest. He resisted, tensing his arms and evading, then he did the one thing that police love, he hocked a big lugi at them. After the flying spittle hit an officer on the palm of his hand, they “placed” him on the ground. By “placed”, I am sure they mean “laid the friggin’ smack down on his ass.”

Buchanan did not disappoint with his reaction. From his face down in the dirt position, he looked up and yelled, “I am a U.M football player, and I don’t care what you do!”  He didn’t bother asking them if they knew who he was, he just told them. He continued by saying, “I’ll get out of it!”

Well, I don’t know how hard it is to get out of felony charges, but good luck to ya, Ramon, and thanks for setting the bar just a little higher.
