And to make matters worse, this guy worked at a Christian school. Interesting thought, that once again a male teacher doing this gets a prison term, and several of our recent female coaches/teachers who sent pictures of their breasts to boys got probation.

Double standard? In today’s American judicial system? Nah.

A former gym teacher at the Light and Life Christian School in Liberty Tuesday pled guilty in Sullivan County Court to sending text messages and a photograph of his genitals to a 13-year-old girl he knew at the school.  Joshua Dimeo, 21, of Liberty pled guilty to disseminating indecent materials to minors, a felony, and sexual abuse in the second degree, a misdemeanor.  He also admitted to touching another 13-year-old girl.

Sullivan County District Attorney James Farrell said under the plea agreement, Dimeo is expected to receive a prison sentence of three years, 10 years parole and be ordered to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law.
