Missouri Football Player Arrested for Shoplifting at . . . Spencers?

We’ve reported on college football players doing a lot of stupid things in the past, but shoplifting from Spencers Gifts at the mall? No, this is not a flashback of 1977. A third-string safety for the University of Missouri football team, one Jarrell Harrison, was apparently in need of a black light poster or a whoopee cushion . . . or possibly some kind of toilet paper with naughty cartoons on it. We may never know for sure, but we can certainly make lots of embarrassing guesses, can’t we?

Jarrell Harrison has been suspended indefinitely, according to MU, after being arrested on Friday for suspicion of misdemeanor shoplifting at Spencer’s, a novelty store in the Columbia Mall. How indefinite the suspension remains is not yet known, but Harrison – who started eight games at safety as a junior – finished spring football on the third string. And this doesn’t hint of a promotion.
