Just in case you thought we had forgotten about our High School Coach Sex Scandals . . .

They’re still out there, and we’re still reporting on them, it just seems easier for the cops to catch the perps these days when they leave a clear trail of evidence on their cell phones, like naughty texts and images.

The president of the Willowick Soccer League is accused of sexually touching two of the 13-year-old girls he coaches. Dan Chester, 37, was arrested by Willowick Police and charged with two counts of sexual battery Wednesday, Chief Michael Lazor said.

The investigation began when the parent of one of the girls found inappropriate text messages between Chester and their daughter, Lazor said.  Through investigation, police learned about the second girl, the chief said. At this point, police are only aware of reported touching between the coach and two girls. Lazor said the inappropriate relationship began in June.  Lazor said Chester also had exchanged photos with the girls.
