Did we mention this happened at an ELEMENTARY SCHOOL? Obviously, some one has seen “Bring It On” WAY too many times.
An elementary school cheerleading practice nearly turned violent on Thursday when a mother came to practice and threatened the coach with a baseball bat.
According to reports, an argument broke out among cheerleaders around 8 p.m. Thursday at Weinland Elementary School on East Seventh Avenue. Shortly after one of the cheerleaders went home early, her mother arrived at the practice with a baseball bat and began yelling at the 26-year-old coach and swinging the bat near her.
Other parents nearby broke up the fight and the cheerleader’s mother left. The coach told police that both the mother and her daughter have created trouble at prior practices. No charges were filed in the case.
