Youth football game brawls are getting pretty common these days. What’s NOT common is coaches getting arrested for bashing opposing players in the head with a football helmet to get them to stop fighting. And to top things off, there’s a video of the whole incident. Watch it here.
Tim Tolbert, 47, of Navarre, was arrested on a second degree felony charge of aggravated battery. Tolbert, a coach with the NYSA Juniors football team, allegedly struck several players of the opposing team in the head with a football helmet, attempting to break up a fight, according to the Pensacola Police arrest report. A fight ensued between the NYSA team and A & G at the Magee Football Field in Pensacola Saturday.
