Golf Carts in Water: Winds Reveal Submerged Vehicle in Marina

Cops aren’t saying who’s golf cart it is, so we’re going to assume that it belonged to a local golf course. As regular readers know, we feel that there is some kind of “cosmic connection” between stolen electric golf carts and water and that somehow they almost always end up in a pool, pond, river or in this case, bay marina when the thieves are done with them. We’ve reported on dozens of stories like this over the years. Wonder if we could get a federal grant to study this phenomenon?

When strong winds pushed water out of marinas and away from the shore this week, someone discovered a golf cart that was reported stolen last summer, the chief said.  The lack of water at Lakevue Marina caused a boat to sit on top of the vehicle, which is still mostly submerged, Danbury Township Police Chief Mike Meisler said.  Police determined it was the same golf cart that had been stolen, Meisler said. After spending weeks in the water, the golf cart likely is totaled, he said.
