First year on the job at a new school and can’t even make it through the first two weeks without something like this happening.

A Green Country coach is charged with sexually abusing a student. It happened in Chouteau, where Zachary George was hired earlier this year. George allegedly touched a 17-year-old girl’s private parts and had her touch him and he later asked for oral sex, according to the Mayes County DA’s office.  George taught history, social studies and was an assistant football coach.

On August 28, the Chouteau School district received a formal complaint against George. The school’s superintendent informed George he was suspended pending an investigation into the incident. George resigned from his job, rather than face suspension, according to the school’s attorney, Karen Long.
