The two girls in front of us were drunk before the game started. They grabbed one of our signs and trashed it (real classy) because were Vikings fans, and then spent most of the first half mocking us instead of watching the game because the Lions were ahead.

They left their seats and we thought they were gone for good but somehow they managed to buy even more beer and get back to their seats. They were spilling beer on themselves, the seats, and some of the other fans. After they spilled quite a bit of beer on the guys in the row below them, they turned around and told them to SIT DOWN. One girl didnt like that so she poured the rest of her beer on his head. Then I knew it was time to start the camera.

There is something to be said for loving what you do and having passion for something in your life. Used golf balls? Somebody makes a living off of them and it sounds like Jerry Gunderson did . . . until last Saturday when he reached for one too many buried Titleists in a Florida pond. Ironically, it was the same pond where one of his sons drown 27 years ago doing the same thing.

Now watch: Florida will pass a law banning diving for golf balls and half the retired guys down there will have to go on Welfare to make ends meet.

Jerry Gunderson started diving for golf balls in 1953, when he was 19. On Saturday, during a dive, he lost his life. He was 75. “I don’t know why he did it; it’s high risk, but he just loved it,” said his wife, Judith Gunderson. “He always said that’s the way he would go.”

Jerry Gunderson, whose passion for diving for golf balls led to the founding of a chain of seven golf-supply stores, was found dead in the center of the lake at the Deer Creek Country Club in Deerfield Beach, Fla., on Saturday.  Gunderson, who was wearing scuba gear, drowned, officials said.

One of his sons died while diving for golf balls in a lake 27 years ago. “I lost my brother to the water, too,” said Jerry Gunderson’s other son, Marc, 53.
