Franscio A. Cruz was tentatively charged with lewd and lascivious behavior after police were called to Heistand Park, 4302 Milwaukee St., on the city’s Far East Side at 5:52 p.m. Sunday.

According to police, organizers of the Centinela Soccer League said Cruz was among a group of boisterous fans at one of several games who gave referees so much grief the game almost had to be stopped. After a goal was scored, organizers said, Cruz ran onto the field, took off his clothes and dropped his underpants.  Police said they found Cruz, whose eyes were bloodshot and glassy, drinking a beer. Asked why he did what he did, Cruz replied, “This is what they do on TV,” police said

Youth football league officials are getting creative about their halftime events. They seem to be taking a page from minor league baseball these days, doing everything to keep the fans entertained. This game in Florida featured 20 to 30 teenaged girls fighting. Ultimately the cops were called (probably part of the bit) and eight young ladies went to juvy, one for slapping a police office. Boynton Beach police say they stopped a fight that broke out at a youth football game and involved about 20 to 30 girls. According to a police report, eight girls were arrested after the fight, which happened during halftime of a Police Athletic League football game on Saturday. Boynton Beach police say no injuries were reported, and officers quickly stopped the fight.

What a waste of good food! Officials at Lewiston-Porter High School in upstate New York have decided that upperclass girls on the soccer team who pelted new members with flour, eggs, & raw meat as part of a “team initiation” will be suspended for their actions. No word if a good cooking class is in their future, but it might not be a bad idea since they seem to have NO idea what to do in the kitchen.

Ten Lewiston-Porter High School students involved in a hazing incident in which raw meat was thrown at new players on the girls varsity soccer team have been suspended following a district investigation, Superintendent R. Christopher Roser said Friday.

Administrators suspended the students after learning Wednesday of a Labor Day weekend party at a student’s home in which members of the girls varsity soccer team and other students held an “initiation” of new soccer players.

The suspended students all had some responsibility for hazing incidents that included putting eggs and flour in the hair of players and throwing raw meat at the students.
