HS Soccer Coach Arrested After Offering Undercover Cop $20 for Sex

$20 for sex? The economy REALLY must be tanking if the working girls are seeing their pay cut that much. But, once again, someone is likely to comment below about how this shows that we need to pay our teachers more.

Here’s more from News4Jax:

Marc Osterberger, 38, worked at Nease High School during the girls’ soccer season that ended two months ago. Head of human resources Jim Springfield told Channel 4 that Osterberger came highly recommended from a soccer club, and in October of last year, the St. Johns County School District hired Osterberger as a part-time employee to coach the Nease team.

“The references from that organization were very high. He was rated in the top 5 percent of all applicants,” Springfield said. Osterberger was only meant to work with the district through January. In February, however, he got into some trouble with
the law.

According to a police report, Jacksonville police caught Osterberger in an undercover prostitution sting in the 7900 block of 103rd Street. The report states Osterberger wanted an undercover officer to perform sex for $20 cash. The report also states, Osterberger exposed himself to the officer.
