By all accounts, former New England Patriot Danny Villa, 44, was a model football coach at Walpole High School in Massachusetts. Just weeks ago he lead his undefeated Walpole Rebels to a 41-21 victory over Mansfield Hornets to win the Division 2 Super Bowl for the first time in 11 years. He was also named “Coach of the Year” on the “Patriots All Access” show. But then a parent stepped forward with evidence of a the relationship with a female student after discovering “inappropriate” text messages from Villa on their daughter on her cell phone. They contacted Superintendent Lincoln Lynch when then immediately put Villa on paid administrative leave last week called him in for a meeting, just before Christmas. When confronted with the allegations, Villa resigned all three of the positions he at Walpole High School. But then, an odd thing happened: Villa took off to Arizona for Christmas, leaving behind his wife and children. Eventually the cops were able to locate him at his parents home there and it looks like Villa will wave extradition back to Massachusetts to face the charges that include three counts of rape of a child over 14 and three counts of enticing a minor.
